Sunday saw the club members enjoy the annual awards and prizegiving event at Pembrey Country Park. Following on from the 3rd Winter League event in the Park, planned by Steve Quinton, club members retired to the warmth and pleasant surroundings of Yr Orsaf, the recently opened restaurant in the park.

A full set of trophies were presented to the top three in all the leagues covering the 2018-19 Winter League, the 2018-19 Night League and the 2019 Summer League. The prizes for the 2019 Club Championships held at Broughton Burrows in September were also presented.

The Club Champions were:

Senior Man - Ben Mitchell

Senior Woman - Margaret Reynolds

Veteran Man - Roger Stein

Veteran Woman - Kerina Lake

Junior Man - William Lake.

The following club awards were also presented to reflect an individuals performances and achievements or to recognise contributions to the club over the last 12 months.

The Chairmans Award went to Ben Mitchell for representing Great Britain in the World Cup Finals in China in November, The Spirit of the Sport went to Steve Quinton for his work in coaching the newcomers this year, The Best Junior went to Freddie Lake for his excellent results over the year and the Most Improved Orienteer went to Ruth Dye, who only started the sport in May and is now taking on the most technical standard courses.
