Last night saw the first event of the 2022 Summer League. In less than summery weather, runners took to the steep slopes and rocky features of Briton Ferry Woods. The courses planned by Megan Symons tested the fitness and the navigation across the slopes requiring good contouring skills to pick out the rock features and platforms. The GB internationals, Ben Mitchell and Megan Carter-Davies, showed they were in good shape as they made light work of the tough Green Course, while the rest of the runners followed on behind, with Freddie Lake, William lake and Sam Mitchell taking the next slots. Ruth Dye did well to complete the Light Green Course and well done to Gillian Jackson who finished the Yellow Course in a good time at her first event. Full results here.

Summer League 2 is at Kilvey Hill on 25th May and will provide another physical test for all.
