Patrick Jones of SBOC narrowly missed out on first place in the third Summer League event of the season, being pipped by just 15 seconds by Jim Bailey of Bristol. In a course that cris- crossed the ridge of the Bryn, it was easy to make small errors and lose time but both managed to cover the 3.7km course in 27 minutes. They were 3 minutes ahead of a pack of 4 runners who all finished within 3 minutes of each other with Stephen Reynolds taking 3rd place in a credible 30.21. Full results here. There were no finishers on the Light Green Course, but again a close finish on the Orange Course saw Robin Irwin of SBOC take 2nd place just behind Olly Murphy who was visiting the area with his family from Warrington. It was great to see the group of youngsters on the Yellow Course battling it out, with the Steadman family taking first place in a time of 48.33.

Next week the League returns to wooded terrain with the event in Briton Ferry Woods. The woods have recently been remapped and this is the first use of the area for some time. Full details are here.
