The fifth Summer League Event of the season took place in the lovely deciduous woods of Craig Fawr near Margam. The woods however, located on a very steep slope proved challenging for both running and navigating as there are few paths and plenty of confusing rocky features. That however, didn't stop GB squad athletes, Ben Mitchell and Megan Carter-Davies impressing with times round the 30 minute mark with Ben taking first place on the Green Course with Megan second. Freddie Lake led the chasing pack in third with Chris Lewis and William Lake not far behind. Full results. On the Light Green Course, junior Katie Lake continued her winning run taking first place ahead of experienced orienteers, Edward Parsons, Diana McClure and Mike Dobbs. Similarly Robin Irwin also continued to lead the way on the Orange Course and Daniel Steadman took first place on the Yellow course ahead of sister Lydia.
Next week the Summer League moves to the Gower with a run around the technical sand dunes of Oxwich Burrows Details.
