The summer league returned to the Gower this week for some fast racing around the sand dunes and woods of Penmaen and Nicholaston. With courses set by Roger Stein, there was a good mix of terrain with first controls navigating through the hazel woodlands overlooking the dunes, and then to drop down onto the technical dunes for relentless fast navigating as far as Oxwich Pill, before returning back to the woods again and the finish. With Ben Mitchell and William Arnold taking a convincing 1st and 2nd on the Green course respectively, there was a tight contest for 3rd with 5 runners finishing within 2 minutes of each other, but it was Iestyn Evans that took 3rd by 4 seconds from Freddie Lake. John Mills of Cardiff took 1st place on the Light Green Course as winner of the last two weeks Diana McClure mispunched, with Katie Lake in 2nd and Ruth Dye in 3rd. Robin Irwin took 1st place again on the Orange Course ahead of Laura Robinson in 2nd and Richard Steadman in 3rd. Full Results
