On the weekend at Newborough Forest on Anglesey a strong performance from Swansea Bay Orienteering Club saw club members make a record scoop of trophies in a wide range of age classes. The area known to be one of the most technical in the UK presented a testing navigational challenge but with fine weather the runners were able to post good times if they could meet the technical challenge. The list of SBOC 2018 Welsh champions are; M12 Freddie Lake, M14 William Lake, M16 Oscar Healy, W20 Siobhan Lock, M21 Ben Mitchell, W40 Kerina Lake, W45 Samantha Healy, M45 Brendan Healy, W55 Sarah Jenkins,

Club captain Gill Lock was particular pleased with the results saying "its great to see so many great performances today and the club members getting their just rewards" adding "I hope we can repeat these performances in the National Club Competition in October". Well done to all those who made the podium.
