Club members turned out in force and entered into the Xmas spirit with great outfits for the last event of the year. The Xmas Peg Relay at Port Eynon, that had a combination of strategy and speed to get as many pegs as possible, whilst getting round the course. Chris Lewis completed the course in the fastest time, but it was Iestyn Evans and Freddie Lake that got the most pegs, with Iestyn coming out on top finishing 40 seconds ahead of Freddie. Then we held the presentations for the Summer League and Club Championships before heading to the Ship Inn for a lovely Xmas meal.
The Summer League Winners were, Sam Payne in the Junior competition and Dave Mitchell in the Senior Competition.
The Senior Women's Club Champion was Diana McClure, with Megan Carter-Davies second and Kerina Lake in third place. The Senior Men's Club Champion was Chris Lewis, with Ben Mitchell second and Steve Quinton third.
The Junior Women's Club Championship was won by Lucie Morris and her brother James, became the Club's Júnior Men Champion.
We also awarded the Sliver Shoe to the fastes run in at the Compass SPort Cup final. In a close competition Freddie Lake and Freddie Habgood tied with the same time, they couldn't be separated on the the leg before either and so finally it was the comparison of the third leg, that allowed Freddie Lake to take the trophy.
