EVENT DETAILS

• Location: East Burrows Car Park, SA1 1RE
• Travel Directions:
• From the East: Take the first left after Sainsbury's.
• From the West: Take the next right turn after LC2.
• Parking: £1 per hour, cash or card accepted.
• Terrain: Mostly hard ground, suitable for trainers. There may be a small section in the sand dunes.
• Map:
• Pre-printed, 2015 map updated in 2024
• Scale: 1:4000
• Courses: (Subject to final planning)
• Short: 2km, 0m climb
• Long: 4km, 0m climb
• Entry:
• Pre-entry is advised to guarantee a map; limited entry on the day available.
• Pre-Entries: Available on the SBOC website here
• Newcomers can hire SI cards through the website.
• Payment by card or cash accepted.
• Registration: In the car park.
• Start Times:
• 5:30pm – 6:30pm
• Courses close at 7:30pm

• Safety Information:
• A risk assessment has been completed, but competitors participate at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event.
• All competitors must report to the finish and/or download, whether or not they have completed the course.
• Photography Notice: Photographs may be taken for promotional purposes. Please inform the organiser if you do not wish to be included.
• Road Crossings: Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult due to road crossings on both courses.
• Medical Information:
• Competitors with high-risk medical conditions should contact the organiser beforehand and provide information in a sealed envelope at registration.
• Envelopes will be opened only in an emergency and can be collected post-run, or they will be destroyed after the event.
• Additional Information:
• Competitors are expected to adhere to the Welsh Orienteering Code of Conduct.
• Dogs are allowed.
• Personal Information:
• Personal information will be used to process entries, publish results, check for missing runners, and handle medical emergencies or lost SI cards.
