Permanent Courses

There are many permanent orienteering courses throughout the UK. They are a great way to try out orienteering or practice your skills in your own time without the need to attend an event.

We have produced special orienteering maps all the major Parks in Swansea which you are free to enjoy. All you have to do is download and print a map and you are ready to go!

We are also making use of a mobile app which can record your time orienteering via GPS and let you know when you reach each control. You can compare times with others on the app, and it's great fun! Read more to find out all you need to know.

Virtual Orienteering Courses

Orienteering using a mobile phone to record your run, "Virtual" Orienteering.

We have a number of Virtual Orienteering Courses where you can use your smartphone to track and time your route allowing you to compete against each other or against other families at any time.

SBOC Virtual Courses

Our virtual courses are “Score courses” - The goal is to visit as many controls as you can, in any order, within the time limit which you can choose on the app, 30 or 60mins.

Please note participants use virtual courses at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety, and we recommend under 16s should not go out unaccompanied when in an urban setting.  Commercial reproduction and use of the map is not permitted without prior permission.
