A break in the weather meant that all of us had a great time thrashing around the dunes at Port Eynon at our Xmas Winter League Event on Sunday. With a great turn out from the club members and getting into the spirit of Christmas with some wonderful festive outfits there was much fun to be had. We also were joined a group of students from Oxford University as part of their training camp.
With a fast and furious 5 km course set by Sasha and Tom, we whizzed back and forth across the dunes, much to the bemusement of the locals.
Freddie and William Lake took first and second places respectively and then 30 seconds separating the next 3 places with Stephen Reynolds edging out Patrick Tudor and Iestyn Evans to take 3rd spot.
On the short course Feldon Beaman-Tucker took first place ahead of Tom Smith and Molly Tudor.
Then off to the Ship Inn for the Xmas dinner and 2025 Club Championships and Summer League Presentations to the following winners.

And Katie Lake took the Silver Shoe trophy for posting the fastest run in to the finish at the Club Championships, just seconds ahead of Iestyn Evans and Robin Irwin.
Congratulations to all the winners and runners up. Also a big thank you to all the club members who volunteered to put on the events throughout the year for the rest of us to enjoy. Here's to an equally successful 2026.
