Sun shines on the Midsummer time trial and awards evening.

It was a lovely hot evening for this year’s Midsummer Madness fun time trial. There was a good turn out for both the 5km and the 2km races with the course testing everyone’s speed, pacing and fitness.

First home on the 5km was Margaret Reynolds, with the fastest time posted by Patrick Tudor. On the 2km course Sam Payne posted the fastest time with a sub 10 minute run, closely followed by Mara Beaman-Tucker who also posted a sub 10 minute time. Lucie Morris won the trophy for the best estimate of her finish time being only 5 seconds off her predicted time, beating Cris Arnold by 1 second!.

The 2024-25 Winter League results were also published and the trophies presented to the top 3 on each league. 2024-25 Winter League final tables

Junior League Top 3 Placings were: 1. Sam Payne 2. Mara Beaman-Tucker 3. Felton Beaman-Tucker
Senior League Top 3 Placings were: 1. Roger Stein 2. Gary Waters 3. Margaret Reynolds

The we held the 2025 Annual Awards presentations to the members who deserved recognition for their contributions to the club and also their performances and development over the last year. re efforts.
