The final event of the World Championships in Edinburgh saw Megan in the knock Out Sprint races. A frentic event where small hesitations can cost you a place in the next round. The GB team was made up of Ralph Street, Megan Carter-Davies, Nathan Lawson, Grace Molloy, Jonathan Crickmore and Cecile Andersen.
After morning qualifications, all six athletes secured a place in the quarter finals. However it was only Megan and Johnny who secured their places in the Semi Finals. After a spectacular sprint finish (below), Megan secured her place in the Finals of the competition by 2 tenths of a second.
Soon it was time for the Women's Final and with Megan being the only remaining British athlete, the atmosphere was electric. Following a brilliant and exciting race and performance, she finished the race in 5th securing a podium place to roars and cheers from a delighted home crowd. Brilliant stuff
