Megan Mitchell stormed to victory at the British Middle Distance Championships at the Holmbush and Buchan Country Park to retain her Middle Distance Championships title. In a very green area choosing the right line through the dense vegetation was key and she achieved this at full pace. The club had some other notable results too, with Ben Mitchell taking 3rd place in the Men's elite race, and Robin Irwin (in full flight below) just missing out on a top 3 finish in the M16 race by a few seconds.
Of the other club members, Bethan Irwin finished 10th in W45, Vince Nagy-Kovacs 20th in M18 and Gary Waters 25th in M75. So a good set of performances from all those that made the long journey to Surrey.
The Women's Elite course is below.
