Storm Bert may have been causing havoc across much of the country, but he kindly settled down for our Double Dune Weekend of events.
Saturday saw us head to Merthyr Mawr for a spot of night orienteering. The score course gave people plenty of route choice, north and up the big dipper to higher ground or south into the complex lower dunes.
Big thanks to planner Ben Mitchell and Megan Mitchell for organising and running the event, it was hugely enjoyable and a great challenge.
On Sunday we headed west to the wonderful Whiteford Burrows for more sand dune delights and complex navigation.
Huge thanks to Sasha and Tom Habgood for planning, organising and running the event. The courses certainly gave everyone a good run out and much fun was had by all.
Results for both days can be found on the club website. https://sboc.org.uk/results. Well done to all that took part.
Our next event is the Trail Challenge #2 at Afan Forest Park on the 7th December - this area is also excellent for mountain biking.
